Abstract
Louise Bird is embarking upon a personal research project using drawing as documentation of a place, space or event. Louise has taken some time to consider her own passion and interest in drawing and is using this opportunity to work in a public art space experimenting with new techniques, dimensions and scale whilst engaging the public in the results through the open studio and audience interaction. Louise is exploring the construction site of the new University of Northampton Waterside campus build and the surrounding Cultural Quarter. Drawings and video footage, made on site, will be brought into the Project Space and re worked producing a range of new exploratory outcomes. This artist in residency presents a unique opportunity to engage the public with this new chapter of Northampton town.
