Abstract

Healthcare is focused on the maintenance and improvement of one’s health through the prevention of pathogens taken over the system and diagnosing the appropriate conditions based on the patients’ symptoms displayed. Many countries such as England have introduced healthcare insurance in private institutions to avoid waiting lists that are predominantly found with government healthcare systems such as the NHS. In order to carry out the author’s project had undertaken some secondary reading on the healthcare regulations in LEDCs. Due to lack of focus on sex education as the idea of contraception is considered ‘taboo’ it had led to high levels of birth rates, although the lack of basic needs such as nutritional foods during pregnancies increase the rate of miscarriages. Poor healthcare also plays a huge role in the increasing death rates in LEDCs, from a decrease in doctors to lack of medication and efficient medical equipment. This book presents the design end implementation of a smart health monitoring system aimed at reducing the health risks in developing countries.
