East Midlands Special Operation Unit Workforce Consultation 2021/2022: Summary Report

Research output: Book/ReportCommissioned Report

Abstract

In October 2018, the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) commissioned the Institute for Public Safety, Crime and Justice (IPSCJ) at the University of Northampton to carry out a workforce survey on their behalf. Survey areas covered included job satisfaction; wellbeing and resilience; opportunities for career progression and personal development; support, supervision and leadership; reward and recognition. In 2021, the IPSCJ repeated the original survey conducted in 2018, which also included some additions based on recent events such as the impact of Covid-19 and questions relating to EMSOUs creation of a new delivery plan. This summary report reiterates the findings of the 2021 survey relating them to the original findings in 2018.
