Photovoice: Photography: enabling visual expression for young people

Research output: Non-Textual OutputExhibition

Abstract

Presented as part of a wider research project conducted by the University of Northampton, this project showcases photographs taken by the community at YMCA Milton Keynes as part of a Photovoice project – a methodology that empowers participants to tell their stories through the photographs they take. The aim of the exhibition is to help young people communicate the challenges they faced before living at YMCA, and the impact of the support they now receive. It is hoped the insights will stimulate discussion and highlight the importance of practical, emotional and employment support for young people in Milton Keynes.
