Evaluation of Safe, Healthy and Empowered (SHE): Interim Report Year 1

Research output: Book/ReportCommissioned Report

Abstract

The Safe, Healthy and Empowered (SHE) project is a whole family, multi-intervention programme for families affected by domestic violence in Northamptonshire. SHE consists of two related interventions, which are:

Evolve (formerly known as ‘Fresh Start’) which is a domestic violence perpetrator programme provided by EVE to partners or ex-partners of the women involved in SHE Restored, to allow for a holistic and integrative intervention with the entire family, helping men to change their mindset and behavioural patterns around intimate partner violence.

SHE Restored which offers a Minimum Support Service (MSS) for women with (ex-)partners attending Evolve. These women are invited to receive regular telephone check-ins from staff, with a focus on the women’s safety. The main strand of SHE Restored is the Integrated Support Service (ISS+) which offers a host of services and programmes for women to attend on-site.
