Abstract

This report focuses on assessing and reporting the social impact of Northamptonshire Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NAB), as well as exploring the overall experience of NAB beneficiaries, staff and volunteers. Qualitative data were gathered through focus groups with 24 individuals, including beneficiaries (n=9), NAB staff (n=8) and volunteers (n=7). Quantitative data were provided by NAB in the form of statistics related to their beneficiary and volunteer engagement, as well as their outreach work and staff training, so that the social impact of NAB’s work could be assessed and monetised. Finally, 10 case-studies were provided by NAB that have been used throughout the report to support the data gathered.
