Abstract
This presentation was given as a keynote to the Open forum on Diversity in learning and the academy. The presentation argues that the external pressure on universities to address race equality and ethnic diversity has steadily diminished. The result is that there has been minimal progresss in addressing issues considered fundamental by BMR staff and students.
