Abstract

The International Council of Museums (ICOM)-CC 17th Triennial conference was held in September 2014 in Melbourne, Australia. The conference was organised by the International Council of Museums Committee for Conservation (ICOM-CC) whose aim is to promote the conservation of culturally and historically significant works and to further promote the goals of the conservation profession. Recent Triennial conferences have been held in Copenhagen in 1984, Sydney in 1987, Dresden in 1990, Washington DC in 1993, Edinburgh in 1996, Lyon in 1999, Rio de Janeiro in 2002, The Hague in 2005, New Delhi in 2008, Lisbon in 2011 and Melbourne in 2014.
