Abstract
Every journey concludes with a sense of relaxation and satisfaction for the human experience lived elsewhere, with the people encountered, and the new places visited. But despite the understandable enthusiasm, do we ever question the quality of our interactions during our stay? Do we ever wonder, 'What positive impact have I left?' What did we carry in our suitcase at the time of departure? And what do we carry in our suitcase upon our return?
The vast majority of readers, much like the overwhelming majority of academics in the field of tourism, believe that tourism serves as a vehicle for the creation of a culture of peace (or simply accepts such a causal relationship as true). Is this assumption right?
