Abstract
In recent years there have been several papers published in this journal on the topic of the lateralisation of pain [2-6]. Mersky and Watson [6] stated that pain, when lateralised, occurs more often on the left than the right side. This conclusion was reached by analysing data collected from a variety of studies and different authors; they proposed several hypotheses to explain this phenomenon.
