Abstract
The Military Preparation College (MPC), run by the Motivational Preparation College for Training, delivers a product that is very highly rated by employers, including the highest ranks of the Army and Royal Marines. The well-constructed journey that the MPC learners go through during their time on the scheme develops their physical and mental wellbeing and leads to significant, positive, changes to their self-efficacy and resilience. The management of the MPC is effective and senior manager make very great efforts to ensure all centres are communicated with, supported, and resourced. The Military Preparation College is an excellent example of how the needs of young people, many of whom have disadvantaged backgrounds, can be met in such a way that they are equipped for positive personal futures as citizens of the United Kingdom. The scheme returns a high annual, and lifetime, return on investment. This report presents the social impact evaluation of the MPCT in England.
