Abstract

Dr Sam Parthasarathy, a renowned lipid scientist and cardiovascular researcher, most recently held the positions of Emeritus Professor of Medicine and Endowed Chair of Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and Associate Dean for Research at the University of Central Florida, Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences. Dr Parthasarathy is highly regarded by his peers in the fields of atherosclerosis and vascular biology. He was best known for his relentless passion for knowledge, his ingenious approach to scientific inquiry, and his electrifying ability to inspire generations of students, whom he selflessly showered with knowledge and research propositions.
