Abstract

Article review: In this compulsively readable article, Otto Heim analyses the reasons for the creative silence since 2002 of Maori writer Alan Duff. Although well known in New Zealand, with several of his books having been made into feature films, ‘hardly a handful of articles have engaged in any depth with his literary efforts’ (p. 3).
