Abstract

The volume on Play, Recreation, Health and Well Being, from the Geographies of Children and Young People series, consists of two interlinked sections, each focusing on a broad topic which has been of central importance in the development of geographical research with children and young people. Section 1 focuses on children and young people’s play and recreation, while section 2 focuses on children and young people’s health and wellbeing. Each section includes a rich variety of conceptual and empirical work by researchers working in diverse geographical contexts, and within diverse methodological and conceptual traditions.
