Abstract
The paper offer an analysis of drama therapy approaches (role method, EPR, psychodrama and other) from the perspective of embodiment, movement and body signals. It is focused on the relation between drama therapy and other expressive therapies, mostly psychomotor therapy, play therapy and art therapy, based on their overlaps in embodied work. Nonverbal parts of methods and techniques of expressive therapies allow clients to gain connection with themselves and to achieve deeper understanding on the level of body and emotions, which undergoes a rational reflection only afterwards. Body and its memory are not only the means of knowledge, but also the means of change. Expressive therapies use embodied work as a purposeful therapeutic tool, but it emerges as an accompanying part of artistic expression and perception.
