Abstract
The main directions of art therapies in the Czech Republic include art therapy, music therapy, drama therapy and dance movement therapy. These young fields, which are still heading towards recognition at the level of independent professions, have been ranked among the health care professions in many foreign countries for over a period of time in educational and social fields. The aim of this publication is to respond to the long-term deficiency manifested by the absence of literature, which, on the basis of a comparison of artistic therapies, would create a research-based map of these professions, ie to contribute to the knowledge of art therapies through theoretical analysis of expert sources and research studies based on questionnaires.
