Abstract
Working in a nuclear power industry specially in an environment vulnerable to corrosion problems require lots of effort. An environment of concentrated caustic solution at high temperature can crack a lot of alloys and finding a suitable alloy is important. Corrosion problems specifically associated with radioactivity seemed to be predictable with the use of alloys like Inconels 600, 800 and 825. Also of equal importance is considering end of life problems and nuclear waste disposal. To date, new build power stations are carbon neutral with much reduced waste, with safe design, 60-year lifetime and frequent replication of designs.
