Abstract

Several plated materials including nickel, cadmium, zinc, silver, copper, gold, chromium and rhodium were analyzed. Following analysis, chemicals were collected and topping up was carried out. Cyanide baths were ubiquitous and there was a Watts bath for nickel. Brighteners were added on the basis of appearance/surface tension. Beside all the baths, there were ammeters/voltmeters. Thickness was determined by passing coulombs.
