Abstract

Exhibition catalogue to accompany the exhibition The 43 Uses of Drawing, held at the Rugby Museum and Art Gallery, Rugby, UK, 6th September - 29th October 2011

The aim of the exhibition was to ignite debate and discussion by mapping the different practices and uses of drawing across disciplines and beyond the boundaries of fine art. The exhibition showcased drawing through the work of both artists and non-artists who use drawing in their professions. It included drawings from graffiti artists, children’s illustrators, political cartoonists, architects, animators, landscape architects, set designers, tattoo artists, digital renderers and performance artists, along with fine artists.
