Tourism and peace: a tool for global integration and peace

Abstract

Tourism and peace, an association that is increasingly being explored by scholars nowadays, but certainly not a recent combination. This chapter traces the evolution of the concept linked by literature review to its economic roots, but also in the current global socio-economic challenges, researching its roots not only in the experiences of societies (such as remote areas) but also with current global socioeconomic challenges, also into other contexts such as beyond academia - ‘territorialist’ studies while at times become part of projects policies started to adopt this narrative in their attempts to make sense out of these transformations provide our tourism will lead us to adopt reflection, the final consideration. In the light of these reflections, further consideration will make us feasible to understand that if on one side it is ideal for us to consider we must be aware of the need for actually feasible understanding tourism as an instrument for peace, on other side considering them if on one side it is ideal conditions for dialogue full understanding become instruments for interculturalism go effectively understand among specific those positive and negative cultural heritage (such as policies or participated peace), instance management and educational strategies clearly stand out.
