Research output: Contribution to JournalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The Tourism Naturally Conference serves as a multidisciplinary platform for leading tourism researchers to explore the intersections of nature, culture, health, and wellbeing in tourism. Originally founded by Colorado State University, Central China Normal University, and the University of Derby, the conference has expanded to include multiple academic partners. The second conference, held in Kaprun, Austria, in 2018, featured keynote speeches by Professor Sara Dolnicar and Professor Alison Gill, addressing sustainable tourism challenges and geographical perspectives on tourism development. Over three days, diverse sessions covered themes such as tourism resilience, climate change, protected areas, and tourist behavior, drawing researchers from around the world. The event also provided networking opportunities and immersive experiences in Austria’s natural landscapes. The next Tourism Naturally Conference is scheduled for June 2019 in Buxton, UK, continuing its mission to advance research and foster collaboration in tourism and natural environments.
