Abstract
Social networking sites are increasingly used for career development and to strengthen professional relationships. This project used a questionnaire with students from a UK university to explore undergraduates’ engagement with LinkedIn. The project found inequalities in the experiences of Global Ethnic Majority and White students, and noted that recommendations by lecturers and having time set aside in class to work on LinkedIn profiles were effective ways of supporting students.
