Volunteer Police Cadets Membership Surveys: Initial analysis of national data

Research output: Book/ReportCommissioned Report

Abstract

The Volunteer Police Cadet programme engages well over 10,000 young people, in every police force across England and Wales and in Police Scotland, with over 500 Cadet Units. As an integral element of the national programme for Cadets, a Membership Survey was designed with the purpose of better understanding the needs to the young people the programme engaged, and to identify and track change achieved by the young people through the programme. This report summarises findings from an analysis of Membership Surveys completed by Cadets. The findings summarised in this report are based on 1,457 surveys completed by young people. This represents a large and important national data set in respect of the VPC programme.
