Description

Description of the problem:

Writing and publishing collaboratively is important and the COVID-19 pandemic was a catalyst for innovation in terms of the exploitation of technology and the development of an inclusive, international community of reflective practice. This Discovery Majlis will draw on the experiences of the Centre for the Advancement of Interprofessional Education (CAIPE) Research Subgroup to debate models of best practice, exploring the practicalities and underlying principles that inform collaborative, interprofessional writing for publication.

Progress to date / Journey so far:
A series of eight papers has been published, by twenty-four authors, in the peer reviewed British Journal of Midwifery.

Issues requiring discussion:
In our Discovery Majlis, we will discuss our experiences of being members of the CAIPE Research Subgroup and how we formed a writing group to share, reflect on and analyse our IPE adaptations during the constraints of the pandemic.

This Discovery Majlis aims to create a space for attendees to explore the nuances and realities of collaborative writing for publication in global interprofessional groups.
