Description
This study investigates the role of sustainable entrepreneurs in combating social and environmental challenges and the approach by SME entrepreneurs in developing countries. The initial findings of this study were presented at the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE) 2022 conference in York, UK.
The overarching purpose of this study is to understand the process of Sustainable Entrepreneurship (SE) in the context of developing countries where entrepreneurs are operating under conditions of extreme resource constraints and where the need to implement sustainability in practice is particularly critical.
RQ 1. Why and how do entrepreneurs in developing countries recognise and develop opportunities for sustainable ventures? RQ 2. What is the role of place in the sustainable entrepreneurial process (in developing countries)? How does place attachment matter in creating sustainable ventures in developing countries?
