TGA (Thermogravimetric analysis)

Essentially, a high precision balance in an oven. Allows measurement of mass loss of a sample with variation in environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity. Great for moisture and or volatiles content, degradation temperature and total residues remaining.

Typical materials analysed include polymers, biomaterials and curing processes. Our TGA is equipped with DSC measurement to provide combined information about mass loss and energetic transitions. The DSC measurement here is not as accurate as our stand-alone equipment but provides some useful complimentary data to the mass measurements.
