Embedding skills through active blended learning

Description

The academic skills workbook was created to enhance students’ academic skills and has been designed as a digital independent learning module on the university’s Virtual Learning Environment NILE. It is comprised of core academic skills learning sections which are divided into units. The aim of the workbook is to enable students to take control of their own learning throughout their academic journey by accessing these units, but also facilitators can choose which units they would like to utilise and how and when their students engage with them. This workshop will discuss how the workbook can be used by courses and examine how it can be developed.
