Description

As a PI on the FCDO-funded FRESHPPACT project, Dr Ebenezer Laryea and other PI's of the project research team visited Ghana to commence the testing and piloting of researched solutions which mitigate plastic pollution from the use of plastics within the agri-business sector in Ghana. As part of the research activities for this trip, the project team run a roundtable stakeholder event which brough together several organisations within the agri-business and plastics sectors in Ghana to discuss plastic pollution in Ghana, share knowledge & best waste management practices, engage key stakeholders on the researched solutions FRESHPPACT will provide for local use in Ghana, and identify further areas for collaboration to address the immense scale of plastic pollution in Ghana.
