Biography

Current project, using 2021/22 Early Career Research Funding. To explore spiritual experiences in all types of epilepsy, and to provide a more discriminating type of categorisation than has previously been undertaken and answer the research question ‘Do individuals with all types of epilepsy report associated anomalous experiences and which experiences do they have?’ 

Interested in archaeology, visiting musuems and art galleries. Hobbies include learning how to play the ukelele (badly) and wild swimming.

 

Research Interests

Research interests include mystical, anomalous and transpersonal experiences, clinical parapsychology and spirituality in epilepsy. I am also intersted in researching spirituality in psychotherapy and counselling, transpersonal practices in therapy, and the wounded healer.

Methodologies - narrative (particularly autoethnography), Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, Reflexive Thematic Analysis.
