Biography

Bio: Artist, musician, documentary filmmaker and academic with thirty years’ experience working within UK and European underground music scenes. Main feature works include; The Day the Country Died: A history of anarcho-punk in the UK (2006/2016), Bloody Bloody Belgium: a history of the underground music scene from 1970’s -2014 (2014), Big Time: Punk in Belfast 1979-82 (2016) Assembly Required: Buzzcocks (2016). Co-founder Monad Journal 2017, Founder Video Essay .Org 

Research Interests

Current research is focused on the 'potential' offered by the video essay with regard to public history and as a contribution to teaching & learning in Higher Education. VR/AR & 360 degree cinematography

Documenting subcultures and video essay. Documenting and archiving the second wave anarcho-punk movement through ongoing documentary video projects, exhibitions, written publication and photography
