Biography

Dr Stefan Davis is an Early Career Researcher and lecturer in Leather Science at the Institute for Creative Leather Technologies. Dr Davis obtained his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Leicester and obtained a lectureship at the University of Northampton in 2016. Primary duties include lecturing and supervision of research projects at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Duties also include the co-ordination and facilitation of private client research.

Current research interests include: Green chemistry, analytical chemistry, standard method development, Waste utilisation, Alternative materials.

Previous research projects and publications in: biomaterials, biodegradable adhesives, utilisation of industrial wastes into chemical processes.

Dr Davis is a professional member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and American Leather Chemists association, and a council member of the Society of Leather Technologists and Chemists.
