Biography

Rob Lambert is Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader of BA Games Design at the University of Northampton's Faculty of Arts, Science and Technology. His role includes being; first year Personal Academic Tutor (BA Games Art).

Rob has been a vocational Lecturer since 2012 and his greatest motivation is the facilitatation of others to achieve a career in the Games industry. Through working with An array of talented individuals he has had students that have gone on to positions in variety of games companies.

Research Interests

Rob has a variety of research interests that include:

  • Agile Methodologies
  • Gamification
  • The advancement of learning technologies
  • Educating creative students
  • Pedagogy

Teaching Interests

  • Testing new technologies for games creation with students.
  • The development of new courses e.g. Games Design (2019) & Digital Animation 
  • 3D Modelling & texturing techniques
  • Rigging & Animation
  • External Examination

Rob is currently the module leader of:

  • Year 1 - 3D Modelling (BA Games Art).
  • Year 2 - Organic Modelling (BA Games Art).
  • Year 2 - Narrative for Games (BA Games Design).

Rob also teaches on:

  • Year 3 - Final Major Project (BA Games Art, BA Games Design).
