Biography

Toa Giroletti is a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Social Innovation and Impact at the University of Northampton. She has a bachelor degree in Cooperation and Development and MCs from the University of Pavia (Italy) in Economics, Politics and International Institutions. In 2017 she obtained her Ph.D. in Quantitative Models for Policy Analysis from the Catholic University of Sacred Heart of Piacenza (Italy).
Since her bachelor she has been working in numerous research team at local as well as international level, focusing especially on the design of quantitative, qualitative, as well as mixed methods data collection and data analysis. In particular, she carried out fieldwork for her master thesis in Colombia and contributed to the data collection for the European founded project "Creating Economic Space for Social Innovation CrESSI". Within the institute, her role comprehends the submission of new research proposals, the implementation of all stages of the project, the consequent data analysis, and dissemination. She is currently working on several projects, focusing on social impact. 

 

I am also a Full Accreditated Researcher under the Office for National Statistics Research Accreditation Service.

Research Interests

Toa’s current research interests are focused on the individuals’ perceptions of deprivation and well-being applied to the study of social innovations. Furthermore, she is interested in the data collection of primary data and the methodological issues that arise when individuals’ conditions are investigated using subjective evaluation.
