Children as researchers of their own wellbeing

Project Details

Description

This project aims to empower year 5 participants to design evaluation tools for measuring the impact of ‘Music for Well-being’ provision, delivered by Northampton Music and Performing Arts Trust with the potential to be used locally, regionally and nationally, supporting children to identify and track their emotional well-being.

This project places children at the centre of research; as leaders and experts in research about their own lives, encouraging them to reflect on their learning and consider how to measure and demonstrate the impact of provision.

Enabling time to reflect on wellbeing provision deepens the impact and effectiveness of the provision and builds Primary School students’ metacognition and reflection skills.
