Research Interests
As an Academic Librarian Gillian is passionate about supporting people to gain confidence and skills in finding and using information. Her focus on information literacy has developed into research projects around the use of reading lists as a pedagogical tool. She has also looked at student engagement with information literacy online tutorials. Information literacy underpins all areas of her research focus, and she is keen to explore students transition to post-graduate study and how they adapt their information seeking practices.
Gillian is happy to share her experience as a practitioner researcher to support colleagues in LLS and the library and information sector to develop their own research skills.
